What Is Chakra?

Today’s article is all about the chakras and crystals. why the chakras are important when working with crystal energy and how understanding this concept can make all the difference when using and practicing with crystals. I’m super excited to dive into today’s post.

Introduction

So chances are you’ve probably heard of the word chakra with the rise of spirituality and spiritual wellness. more and more people are becoming aware of the spiritual world, and really what constitutes its beliefs chakras, in my opinion, are pretty big staples in understanding spiritual wellness, and some of you might be wondering well where does this concept come from?

The History Of Chakra

The chakra system originated in India between 1500 and 500 bc in the oldest text known as the Vedas in essence. chakras are whirling vortexes of energy, chakras act as a linkage in stimulation points between the subtle energy body and the physical body. there are said to be as many as 114 chakras but the most commonly known are the seven that run up along the spine.

Now there is talk of how you know western culture has interpreted the original teachings of the chakra system, and I’m kind of going to dive into that right now it is said that western occultists pared down and formalized the original chakra system into this theosophical colored chakra system. at the beginning of the 20th century, now I’m not an expert or anything like that, but this is just what I’ve read in research online. I just wanted to bring this up if you were interested in learning more about the original teachings, you can go ahead and check all that out on your own overall with whatever route you choose to grasp the concept of the chakras. You can try with crystals, and get them from crystal shops near me. you can really change your energy with chakra work for me personally working on my chakras, and incorporating crystals has really given me such energetic support laying crystals on the chakras or the auric field helps correct imbalances or overactive systems of the body.

The chakras and how well they’re operating play a vital role in regulating our energy and overall well-being. when consciously going into chakra work, you might be asking yourself are my chakras balanced, are they unbalanced, are they blocked? so now let’s go over you know the chakras. I’m going to add two bonus chakras that I think are important that don’t really get too much love, but I’m basically just gonna do a brief overview of the chakras where they’re located, and the color associated with them, and this is the more western adaptation of the chakra system.

Introduction To 7 Chakras

so starting below the feet, we have the earth star chakra, this is not that common not a lot of people give love to this chakra. so I just wanted to mention it to you guys I personally believe that being super connected to the universe is really beneficial for our spiritual health and growth. so I wanted to incorporate this one and to be honest, I’m not really 100 sure what color would be associated with it. but if I had to make an educated guess I would say black or a darker color alright.

Root Chakra

Now moving to those primary chakras, the more well-known chakras we’re going to be starting at the root chakra. this is the very first chakra on that little list it is located at the base of the spine, and it’s associated with the color red. And super seven crystal is related to this chakra.

Sacral Chakra

Next, we move up to the second chakra, which is the sacral chakra, this is located right below the navel and pretty much in between your hip bones and the color associated with this chakra is orange. but it could also be a reddish-orange.

Plexus Chakra

Moving to the third chakra is the solar plexus chakra, this is my personal favorite, it is located right above the navel and it’s associated with the color yellow.

The fourth chakra is the heart chakra. this is located right in the middle of your chest, and it’s associated with the colors green and pink.

Throat Chakra

Next, we move to the fifth chakra, the throat chakra located you guessed it right in the middle of your throat, and it’s associated with the color blue.

Third Eye Chakra

Next, we move up to the sixth chakra, which is the third eye chakra, this is located between the eyes and above the eyebrow and it’s associated with the color indigo.

Crown Chakra

And the last chakra that’s part of those personal chakras is the crown chakra. this is located right at the top of your head, and it’s associated with the color purple and also like a clear whitish color that last bonus chakra I wanted to throw in here is the soul star chakra, and this is located right above the head. I wanted to incorporate this chakra because I think it’s so cool, it’s all about really connecting with the divine getting those downloads, and really just breaking through to other worlds.

The color that’s associated with this I’m not 100 sure but if I had to guess, I would say a bright white or just like a bright, beautiful color alrighty. so now that we have like a brief introduction of what the chakras are.
